Volunteering at NOW
NØW are delighted to announce the success of the new Volunteer Programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund launched in April 10. We now have a dedicated staff member to develop and support the Volunteer Programme. To date we have 14 volunteers recruited, inducted and actively volunteering in a range of roles within NØW including mentoring within the training environment, sales and marketing of both Loaf cafes and our Moneyplus training package as well office administrative support. Commenting on his volunteer placement with NØW, Lee Kelly, a 3rd year trainee teacher who has volunteered with NØW from June stated: “Volunteering with NØW has been a very positive experience which is helping me to develop into a better teacher and it is an experience that will stay with me throughout my career...”
